The
troop is very active with camping and goes on trips
usually once each month or more. The troop also has
a high adventure
each year. In the past few years, the troop
has been to the National Jamboree, Alaska, Isle Royale, and
Manitou Island. In
2005, the troop sent a large contingent
to the
National Jamboree. The troop also hosts
a short-Adventure for those younger scouts and
those who are not able to go on the High
Adventure. In 2003, the troop went on a
backpacking trip to North Manitou Island and
in 2004 the troop went white water rafting in
West Virginia. Take a
look at some photos from our trips by going to

2006 Campouts

In May we did some
backpacking and fishing at the Manistee River
near Mesick. We had a reel feast on fish.

Our April
Campout was following the foot steps of Chief
Pontiac on the Clinton Valley Council's Chief
Pontiac Trail (CPT). In order for the
Scouts to earn their medal, they had to write a
300 word essay about Chief Pontiac before hiking
the trail. After hiking the trail they had to
write a 250 word essay about their trip and draw
a map. To learn more about
CPT. To see our
adventure go to our
